Hardness Conversion Table for Steel and Cast Steel

Conversion on hardness values resulting from the various methods of testing should be avoided whenever possible because it always involves errors.  specifications should therefore give hardness values of such testing procedures which are actually used in testing.  However, in some instances a conversion is necessary. The following compilation is taken from the "Werkstoffhandbuch 
For stahl und Eisen" (Handbook for steel and iron) third edition, and is reproduced by permission of "Verlag Stahleisen m.b.H", Dusseldorf, Germany.
